Artease Café serves fragrant bubble tea, says Tan Wen Hui.
Bubble, bubble and more bubbles! Once more, the bubble tea craze is back in town with more shops, flavours and cup sizes for you to choose from. Whether it is to beat the sweltering heat or to treat yourself to a lil’ sugar rush, bubble tea will always be a popular drink for everyone. Just like how miniskirts are to girls.
Having said much about bubble and bubble tea, here is one newly opened sweet shop you must not miss – Artease Café at Orchard Cieneleisure. Ahh…you will not be disappointed with the café.
What is Good: Bubble tea – check! At Artease Café patrons are entitled to select the amount of sugar according to their preference for sweets. Select from 25 to 100 percent, and be surprised by its taste even if you were to accidentally place an order for the least amount of sugars for your cup. To say it taste sweet and smells fragrant is no understatement, you have to try in order to know. What’s more, Artease Café’s bubble tea is simply milky.
Apart from bubble tea, Artease Café offers a variety of caffeinated sweets and thirst-quenching drinks for non bubble tea fans. Soon to hit the café’s menu are its freshly made sushi rolls, it is easy to picture Artease Café flooded with Japanese foodies and fans.
Ambience and Interior: Artease Café sports a cosy interior amidst a series of graphic artworks on display. If nothing comes to mind, think I-S magazine’s style of design. “Funky” best describes the café, which is a suitable place for those who embrace the arts and its revolutionary movement. And hey, Artease Café is not just a graphic designer’s hangout, rather, hideout!
The Damage: For a glass of regular milk tea with pearls (select either large or small), you can expect to spend from $2.40 – $2.90.
